We love traveling in the spring because of the wonderful weather. Although it is typically sunny and warm, you won’t be sweating profusely while you are out and about exploring during the day.
Spring is the best time to go to popular Northern Hemisphere places, including much of Europe and the Caribbean because there are fewer days with rain.
Here are the top destinations in the U.S. and abroad to visit in March.
Turks and Caicos
Turks & Caicos, famous for its white sand beaches, crystal-clear waters, abundant marine life, and opulent resorts, is stunning in March with highs in the low 80s. Amanyara, Wymara Resort & Villas, The Palms, The Shore Club, Rock House, and Pine Cay, an all-inclusive private island resort, are among the coolest places to stay.
This stunning nation is a skier’s heaven, offering a variety of fantastic ski towns. With more than 100 kilometers of slopes and a quaint community, Andermatt offers luxurious lodging at The Chedi Andermatt. Enjoy the snow and unwind at The Carlton Hotel in St. Moritz, or explore the neighboring glacial ice caves.
With plenty of snow and frequently lower late-season pricing, March is a terrific time to visit New Hampshire since ski season is still in full force until about mid-April. There are many ways to enjoy the snow from luxurious resorts to vacation homes and cabin rentals.
The annual International Cherry Blossom Festival, which runs from Mar. 17 to 26, has parades, music, amusement rides, and an arts and crafts fair to celebrate the city’s more than 350,000 Yoshino cherry trees blooming.
March marks the start of spring, as the days lengthen and the temperatures rise. Take a fjord cruise, go spring skiing in the mountains, or visit Oslo, the country’s capital, and the recently opened National Museum of Norway, which is located on the city’s waterfront.
Early March is a great time to visit the city’s museums because the weather is still a little winterlike in the nation’s capital. There is something for every interest at the Smithsonian Museums, which include the Portrait Gallery, the National Air & Space Museum, and more. Women’s History Month is in March, and the city will be filled with special activities and museum displays. Recognizing women in the media, the year 2023’s theme is “Celebrating Women Who Tell Our Stories.”
Fort Lauderdale, Florida
Fort Lauderdale is the ideal March vacation spot due to the warm, sunny temperatures in the low 80s, miles of waterways, fantastic restaurants, and a variety of accommodations. Aside from exploring the outdoor art at FATVillage and the stores and scenery along Las Olas Boulevard, visitors can also take a Water Taxi and enjoy a drink while cruising Fort Lauderdale’s canals.
Charleston, South Carolina
March is a beautiful time to travel to Charleston as spring brings warm temperatures and blooming flowers. From March 1-5, Charleston hosts the annual Food & Wine Festival, featuring delicious seafood and premium Southern specialties. On a rainy spring day, learn about Charleston’s past with a visit to one of the museums.
