Czech Republic Lifting ALL Entry Restrictions From April 9

The Czech Republic is the latest European country to lift travel restrictions for all foreign arrivals. The measure will come into force on April 9.

This means that travelers will no longer have to fill out an entry form, undergo Covid-19 testing or present a vaccination certificate, regardless of their point of departure.

“The Ministry of Health repealed the existing protective measures with regard to the current epidemiological situation in the Czech Republic and abroad,” the Ministry of Health has announced in a press release. 

“All persons can now arrive in the Czech Republic without any restrictions, regardless of whether they are traveling from a non-EU country or from the European Union,” the statement of the Ministry reads.”

Note that some airlines may still require a vaccination certificate or a negative test to permit boarding.

Face masks are no longer required on public transportation.

According to the Ministry, the decision to lift entry requirements is due to a significant improvement in the pandemic figures.

World Health Organization (WHO) data show that 33,745 new cases of infection were registered in the Czech Republic in the last seven days.

The Czech Ministry of Health has also lifted the entry ban and all preventive measures imposed on people from Ukraine, as part of the help given to the Ukrainian people after Russia’s invasion.

“Due to the outbreak of the international armed conflict that hit the territory of Ukraine, it is canceled entry ban and all obligations related to the rules against the spread of Covid-19 stipulated by a special protective measure for persons who are in the territory of the Czechia they enter the territory of Ukraine, which they left due to the outbreak of an international armed forces conflict,” reads a separate press release from a few days ago.
