The free-spirited Florida Keys has unveiled some of its latest high-end hotel developments, renovations and innovative tourist attractions as part of its upgraded offering for autumn.
This way Florida Keys strengthens its position as one of most popular destinations for Americans during the fresh coming months.
Known for its live-and-let-live attitude, tropical weather, exuberant nature, the Keys has been welcoming visitors seeking a vacation away from routine for the last couple of centuries, and now it’s coming reloaded.
Enhanced Hotels
Starting this October, the old Barbary Beach House Key West will become the new Margaritaville Beach House Key West. The property is set to introduce its new Tin Cup Chalice & Chill restaurant, new bar concepts and family-oriented activities.
Grassy Flats Resort & Beach Club is adding an extra pool and 28 oceanfront accommodations, which will open in December.
The 125-room Faro Blanco Resort in Marathon is undergoing renovations that will include a larger pool area, a waterslide, Tiki huts, and much more.
New Tourist Activities
Florida Keys History & Discovery Center in Islamorada – this center in Islamorada will host an exhibit of birds, butterflies, moths, bees, and wasps that pollinate South Florida’s native, vegetation from September 17 to January 16, 2022.
Key West is also inclusive. The new Island Vibe Charters, an LGBTQ-owned and -operated charter company will be offering snorkeling trip excursions for families and small groups visitors. Rates for four- to six-hour trips start at $600.
Brand-new Hotels and Accommodations
Once finished, the new Valhalla Island Resort in the Middle Keys will include a 29-room resort and 50 villas, cabins and houses. The center will also include a 12,000-square-foot spa, 3,400-square-foot gym and golf cart transportation for guests.
As part of the celebrations of its 75th anniversary, The Everglades National Park will open the 24-unit Flamingo Lodge & Restaurant, featuring one- and two-bedroom accommodations as well as the new Flamingo Visitor Center. Both are expected to be ready to welcome visitors in January.
