Frontier Adds New Direct Flights to Cancun from 7 U.S. Cities Starting at $99

Frontier Airlines, a carrier known for low-price flights, has added new routes to Cancun. Travelers from Baltimore, Boston, Detroit, or Minneapolis can now catch nonstop flights to the Mexican hotspot.

Leaders at the airline plan to continue adding discount flights to international destinations. They believe that inexpensive international flights will entice passengers who might otherwise stay home.

In addition to offering low prices, Frontier allows passengers to choose which services they truly want. That gives customers more control over the cost of their flights.

Optional services include the following:

  • Checked luggage
  • Seat choice
  • Priority boarding

Passengers can also opt for what Frontier calls the WORKS, a discount bundle offering the above amenities and more.

Additionally, the airline has an excellent frequent flyer program. For each mile passengers fly, they earn one frequent flyer mile.

This benefit differs from the more complicated mile-earning processes of many other airlines.

Members of the frequent flyer program can earn Elite status, which comes with further benefits. Elite flyers can choose their seats and bring carry-on bags at no extra cost.

Frontier will also add two more nonstop Cancun flights in January, allowing passengers from Columbus and Raleigh to visit the city at reasonable prices. In February, Frontier will add nonstop flights from Buffalo Niagara International Airport to Cancun starting at $99.

No other airline offers so many nonstop Cancun flights.

Routes and prices can change at any moment, so passengers should check fares themselves before booking flights.
