Grupo Vidanta, the Mexican conglomerate that designs, operates, finances, and manages hotels and resorts, has launched its first new luxury cruise line in Mexico.
Vidanta Elegant will be the first ship to sail the main route from Puerto Vallarta to Mazatlán on April 14, allowing passengers to visit additional tourist destinations along the way.
The first cruise offered by the company will last three days and two nights for the exclusive preview route.
The vessel was initially conceived for over 500 passengers but it has been entirely restored to accommodate 298 guests in 149 incredibly exquisite staterooms and suites.
The rebuilt ship features stunning outdoor views and focuses on comfort, design, and space in exclusive and luxurious setting.
Vidanta Elegant boasts 13 restaurants and bars, as well as a gym, a fitness center, a spa, and a premium entertainment area for live music.
The company has not yet released all of the services it will offer, but, according to some Vidanta representatives, they will also include dancing and cooking workshops.
In addition, it will incorporate medical-grade technology with its PYURE filtration system that has been proven to eliminate 99.9% of all viruses.

Not only have we become the first Mexican developer to operate both on land and at sea, but we are generating direct and indirect jobs that will benefit many communities along Mexico’s Pacific Coast, and we are positioning our country as a world-class tourist destination,” said Ivan Chavez, executive vice president of Grupo Vidanta.
The conglomerate addionally owns six resorts in Nuevo Vallarta, Riviera Maya, Los Cabos, Acapulco, Puerto Peñasco and Puerto Vallarta.
