LXR Hotels & Resorts, Hilton’s collection of independent luxury properties, has announced the opening of a new private resort island in Abu Dhabi in 2023.
Located on Al Nawras Island, the resort will feature 80 Bora Bora-style beach and overwater villas, a private marina, a beach club, an “elaborate spa” and a 450-square-meter two-bedroom Royal Villa surrounding a signature golf course.
“The UAE’s burgeoning capital has established itself as a global hub in recent years and has seen incredible development in terms of hospitality, sports and tourism,” said Carlos Khneisser, vice president, development, Middle East & Africa, Hilton.
“Al Nawras Island will complement Abu Dhabi’s luxury hotel landscape perfectly and we look forward to guests experiencing this unique property,” said Khneisser.
Exploration, expressiveness, and well-being will be prioritized on Al Nawras Island.
That’s why among the property’s world-class leisure and recreational facilities, there will be three outdoor and indoor swimming pools, tennis and paddle courts, an upscale fitness studio, a kids club, two top-rated restaurants, two bars, and a “wellness-inspired café.”
Children will also have access to a huge playground, a dedicated swimming pool, a splash pad, and a kids’ club.

Hilton will manage the facility as part of its LXR Hotels & Resorts independent line.
The LXR collection features some of the world’s most lavish independent, and distinctive properties. Only nine similar properties exist globally, including the Al Habtoor Palace in Dubai.
