Icelandair Announces Huge Sale On The US-Europe Flights Starting At $449

Although the COVID-19 pandemic continues, many countries have eased their travel restrictions. A lot of people who couldn’t travel during shutdowns want to explore the world more than ever before but face a higher cost of living that hampers recreational travel plans.

Popular destinations and companies that rely on tourism recognize that they need to do whatever they can to convince travelers to spend money. Icelandair came up with a perfect way to drum up business:

Iceland’s flag-carrier airline recently announced that it plans to slash ticket prices on U.S. flights to Europe from many major cities during a special discount “Fall Flight Frenzy” sale. Travelers must book no later than September 25 by midnight, and all flights must take place between November 1, 2022, and April 30, 2023.

The company sees this as an opportunity that benefits everyone. Travelers can enjoy Iceland in fall or winter, times of historically low crowds, and local economies can enjoy more traffic and recover from COVID losses.

Tickets aren’t refundable, but fares include taxes and fees. They’re also extremely low with a round-trip flight between Baltimore and Reykjavik that includes one carry-on bag, for example, costing a mere $399.

Depending on the departure city location, East Coast travelers can enjoy incredibly low-cost travel to many cities and countries, such as Dublin, Ireland, and Copenhagen, Denmark, via round-trip flights for $449 and $447, respectively. West Coast travelers pay slightly more at $588 and $617.

If a traveler books an Economy Light ticket, they can also enjoy a three-night Iceland stopover at no additional cost. If they book a Saga Premium class ticket to Iceland, they can schedule a seven-night stopover.
