Singapore Airlines To Resume A 55-Hour Around the World Route On Nov. 1

Singapore Airlines is launching a non-stop service from Singapore (SIN) to New York (JFK) International Airport on November 1. This route will complete their around the world journey again.

Before most long-haul flights had to be grounded to prevent the spread of the coronavirus via air travel, Singapore Airlines operated the world’s longest non-stop passenger flight from Singapore to Newark, New Jersey.

By launching this new nonstop route the airline is set to break its own record by three miles.

“We are pleased to be leading the way with these new non-stop flights using the latest technology, the ultra-long-range Airbus A350-900ULR,” said the airline’s CEO, Goh Choon Phong.

“The flights will offer our customers the fastest way to travel between the two cities in great comfort… – and will help boost connectivity to and through the Singapore hub,” added the CEO.
