Frontier Airlines has introduced an enticing new promotion aimed at making travel more affordable for its customers. The “Friends Fly Free” program allows passengers to book a regular round-trip ticket and receive a complimentary companion fare for a friend, spouse, or another traveler at no additional cost.
This limited-time offer is exclusively available to members of Frontier’s Discount Den, the airline’s annual subscription program that costs $99. The membership provides access to discounted fares, promotional offers, and free flights for children traveling with eligible members. With this latest incentive, members can extend the benefit to a travel companion, making trips more cost-effective.
To take advantage of the promotion, travelers must enter the promotional code FLYFREE at checkout. Flights must be booked before March 24, 2025, and travel must be completed by May 21, 2025, making this an attractive opportunity for spring break and early summer vacations.
The “Friends Fly Free” initiative is part of a broader effort by Frontier to attract new customers, particularly in the wake of recent policy changes at competing airlines. Following Southwest Airlines’ decision to end its longstanding free checked bag policy, Frontier has introduced additional incentives, including a complimentary Economy Bundle. This offer, available through March 24, 2025, provides passengers with a free carry-on bag and pre-assigned seat when booking with the code FREEBAG. Unlike the companion fare promotion, which ends in May, the free baggage offer extends through August 18, 2025.
“With the $0 Economy Bundle already making travel easier and more affordable, and the added benefit of a free checked bag for future flights, we’re now giving travelers one more reason to fly – because everything’s better with a friend,” said Bobby Schroeter, Frontier’s Chief Commercial Officer, in a statement announcing the promotion.
Frontier Airlines has been actively expanding its offerings, not only through competitive pricing strategies but also by increasing its route network. Recent additions include new flights to destinations such as Aruba and Honduras, further enhancing travel options for its growing customer base.
As the airline industry continues to evolve, budget carriers like Frontier are leveraging promotions and expanded services to capture market share and provide cost-effective travel alternatives for consumers.
