U.S. Theme Parks Offering Guests Free Beer This Summer

Looking to attract more visitors, a number of theme parks in the United States will be offering up to two free beers this summer.

Although roller coasters and beer do not often go together, that would change this summer when a number of theme parks across the country offer free beers to their visitors.

Busch Gardens Tampa Bay, Busch Gardens Williamsburg, SeaWorld Orlando and SeaWorld San Antonio have all announced they will be offering complimentary beers. The parks had previously offered this bonus, which was naturally well received by visitors.

“This reward is a fan-favorite, and after listening to our Member’s feedback, we couldn’t wait to bring back free beer this year,” said Kevin Lembke, the president of Busch Gardens Williamsburg.

Byron Surrett, president of SeaWorld, said the promotion was a “way of expressing our gratitude for being loyal supporters of our park, its conservation and rescue initiatives, and its events.”

In Orlando, all guests 21 and older will receive one free 7-ounce beer at the Waterway Grill Bar per park visit. The offer is valid through Aug. 4, from 10:30 a.m. until one hour before the park closes.

The offer includes a selection of beers from Anheuser-Busch InBev, Persimmon Hollow Brewing Co, JDUBS Brewery, and Sweet Water Cove.

In Williamsburg, free beer will be limited to age-eligible Busch Gardens members and pass holders, but age-eligible guests with day passes can purchase two 7-ounce beers per day for just 50 cents each.

The offer is valid during the park’s Summer Celebration, which runs June 17 through Aug. 14. The beer will be Bud Light, served at the park’s Irish Village.

In San Antonio, free beer will be available at the Lone Star Lakeside Bar for adult members and pass holders through Aug. 7. Choices include Yuengling, Blue Moon, Shiner Sea Salt & Lime and East Cider Blood Orange.
