10 Remote Job Positions Companies Are Actively Hiring For With Salary $100K+

For those in search of a promising career path offering substantial earning potential, exploring opportunities in the technology or healthcare sectors could be a highly advisable course of action. These industries have consistently demonstrated robust growth and are known for their propensity to offer job positions with annual salaries exceeding $100,000 or even more.

These two industries are hiring for the most six-figure jobs, according to recent research from the job search website Ladders.

Securing some of these high-demand positions doesn’t require many years of professional experience or an advanced degree. “Today, newly minted computer science graduates with bachelor’s degrees are making $100,000 to start,” says Ladders founder and career expert Mark Cenedella.

In order to analyze where high-paying job opportunities are most abundant, Ladders conducted a study to pinpoint the top 10 occupations with the greatest number of job vacancies posted on their platform between January and August, all of which offer salaries exceeding $100,000.

The top 10 jobs in demand are shown below:

  • Software engineer
  • Senior software engineer
  • Project manager
  • Clinical psychologist
  • Systems engineer
  • Licensed clinical social worker
  • Dentist
  • Program manager
  • Primary care physician
  • Adult psychiatrist

It’s crucial to remember that none of these positions are guaranteed to pay six figures; the typical base pay for a social worker in the United States, for instance, is $61,776, according to Indeed.

However, according to Ladders’ research, there are many openings for these positions that are advertised with a minimum salary of $100,000, which could indicate that companies are understaffed and raising wages to attract talent or filling high-paying management positions.

For some of these positions, there are multiple opportunities for remote and hybrid work. According to a survey by 2022 Ladders, software engineers and project managers are among the top remote positions for which employees demand six-figure salaries.

Mentioning in the interview that you’re “enthusiastic to learn new skills” can help you stand out from the competition when applying for one of those six-figure positions.

Employers value adaptability as a soft skill, and it becomes even more important when you need to learn new technologies, as is the case with many of the positions on Ladders’ list.
