For the first time, the municipality of Tulum has been nominated for the World Travel Awards, WTA 2023, confirming its global leadership in tourism. These awards are considered the “Oscars” of the tourism industry.
The general director of Tourism and Economy of the Municipality, Jorge Mario Molina Pérez, celebrated that the municipality has been nominated as the “Leading Beach Destination in the World” in the “Oscars” of the travel and tourism industry and not only the best in Mexico and Central America, where it has won on five different occasions.
Molina explained that this nomination puts Tulum on the world map. Travelers will be able to vote on the website www.worldtravelawards.com until November 17.
He also stressed that the impulse and support of President Diego Castañon Trejo are changing the image of the destination and consolidating its prestige in modern tourism.
“Today all citizens can vote for Tulum!” he concluded.
