You Can Now Fly Direct To Tahiti From These 4 U.S. Cities

Air Tahiti Nui just announced that it will start offering a nonstop flight directly to the tropical island paradise of Tahiti from Seattle, Washington. This is the first time in over 15 years that this type of direct flight from Seattle has been offered to American citizens.

Flights Start in Early October

Avid fliers can start booking flights in early October from the Seattle-Tacoma International Airport. This flight connects the island of Tahiti in French Polynesia at the FAA’s International Airport.

Air Tahiti Nui will offer two flights per week, leaving on Wednesday and Sunday afternoons. The return flights from Tahiti will run on Tuesday and Saturday evenings.

Each flight will last about nine and a half hours. Air Tahiti Nui is an official codeshare partner of Alaska Airlines. This means that Alaska Airlines passengers can use their benefits and earn miles when they book flights with Air Tahiti Nui.

The Fourth City to Offer Direct Flights to Tahiti

This announcement marks the fourth U.S. city that now offers a direct flight to the island of Tahiti. Other key cities that offer these flights include Los Angeles, San Francisco, and Honolulu.

The average cost for a round-trip leaving from Seattle will be $687. This is slightly less expensive than a round-trip from Los Angeles to Tahiti, which rings in at the cost of $770.

While this island paradise was closed for an extended period during the COVID-19 pandemic, it’s now open for tourism. This exotic paradise is the perfect getaway for those in North America who are starting to experience the chilly wintertime weather.
