Bali Launching A Campaign And Hiring Influencers To Boost Tourism

Bali has recently announced that it will invest $323,000 in its newest online tourism promotion strategy. I Nyoman Rudiarta, the Head of the Badung Tourism Office, confirmed that there have been funds invested for both international and domestic production.

While investing heavily in promotion via influencers and vloggers is definitely a cutting-edge strategy, not all in Bali are excited. In fact, just last month, a wide range of local citizens called for the deportation of content creators who were disrespectful in their production.

Bali has relied on many in-person events to promote tourism in the past, including the Bali and Beyond Travel Fair. Rudiarta has confirmed that additional face-to-face events will continue to be a part of the Badung Tourism Office’s tourism promotion strategy.

They will also utilize digital content creation, events for tourism, and targeted travel promotions as part of their overall tourism marketing strategy. Rudiarta has shared that there will be video and photo contests to drum up participation in the promotion of the area, which he’ll soon release the details about.

This promotion effort has been decided to be an appropriate response to help boost tourism levels back up to where they were before the COVID-19 pandemic. Rudiarta is expecting that this new marketing campaign will bring tourist numbers up to 20,000 new visitors per day.

Bali is a providence located in the westernmost of the Lesser Sunda Islands in Indonesia. Due to its magical blend of culture, cuisine, weather, nature, people, and nightlife, it has topped many must-see travel lists.
