Cruise Lovers Can Now Reserve Trips On Carnival’s Newest Ship

Carnival Jubilee, Carnival Cruise Line’s newest ship, will set sail for the first time in 2023 — and passengers can now purchase tickets. The company has chosen Galveston, TX as the boat’s primary port.

Booking opened Jan. 25.

Carnival Jubilee is an Excellence-class ship, meaning that it uses a mix of liquefied natural gas and standard fuel. That combination makes the boat more environmentally friendly than options using diesel fuel.

Mardi Gras and Carnival Celebration, two of the cruise line’s other ships, also run partially on clean-burning fuel.

Early itineraries show that starting Nov. 18, 2023, the ship will take passengers on weeklong adventures throughout the Caribbean. There will be stops in both Mexican and Honduran ports.

Carnival Jubilee will include all the amenities and facilities of the company’s Mardi Gras ship — and more. An onboard roller coaster will add excitement for thrill-seeking travelers.

Carnival Jubilee Open For Bookings

Carnival Jubilee trips will include numerous dining choices, at least 20 stateroom types, and various high-end suites. The starboard atrium will have three decks where passengers can get beautiful ocean views, and it will transform into an entertainment spot in the evening.

Travelers will find six different zones, and two of them will have concepts that the company plans to announce in the near future.

The ship isn’t currently in Galveston. It will head there from Southampton, England on Oct. 30, 2023, before visiting several locations on the way to its homeport.

Those stops include the following places:

  • Port of Vigo
  • Las Palmas
  • Tenerife
  • Funchal
  • Grand Turk

The pandemic has negatively affected the entire cruise industry, but Carnival is ready to jump back into action. The company will resume trips on all its ships by May.

Though the cruise line is currently enforcing strict COVID-19 protocols for both passengers and employees, its future policies are unknown.
