To commemorate its 28th birthday, Frontier Airlines is giving a staggering 75 percent off its flights.
The birthday offer is only good for nonstop, roundtrip travel to or from the continental United States and Puerto Rico and must be purchased by July 7 at 11:59 p.m. ET. Tuesdays and Wednesdays between August 9 and October 5 are included in the promotion.
Travelers must use the promo code “BIRTHDAY.”
The airline charges additional fees for services such as seat selection and baggage, and tickets purchased during the offer are non-refundable. Blackout dates are Aug. 31, Sept. 3, Sept. 6 and Sept. 7.
In addition to the discount, Frontier is honoring its 28th anniversary by rewarding 28 passengers with free round-trip flights worth $250 each. Passengers can enter the contest by completing an entry form by July 12 at 11:59 p.m. MT.
Passengers are limited to one entry per person, and Florida and New York residents are not eligible to participate. Winners will receive an email notification by July 20.
When calculating the cost of its fares, Frontier considers only one personal item and charges for both carry-on and checked baggage. Frontier lowered the weight limit for checked baggage on its flights earlier this year to a maximum of 40 pounds.
For $59.99 per year, Frontier also provides a “Discount Den” membership that gives you access to discounted fares and free flights for youngsters on some routes.
