Conde Nast has recently revealed the results of the 35th edition of its Readers’ Choice Awards, which includes a list of the world’s top resorts. Here are the top five.
1. Adare Manor – Adare, Ireland
Adare Manor topped this list with a score of 99.89. One of its features that most entices people to stay here is its castle-like appearance, thanks to its neo-Gothic architectural style. Meanwhile, those who do make reservations and enter its premises get to enjoy a five-star resort that features numerous activities throughout its 840 acres, including golfing, fishing, archery and falconry.
Offered closer to guests’ rooms are spa treatments and fine dining.
2. Four Seasons Resort Dubai at Jumeirah Beach – Dubai, UAE
The showcase resort in the Middle East is this one, which earned a score of 99.8. Although situated in a desert setting, it offers plenty of greenery while its location provides guests with easy access to all of the features that Dubai’s historic district provides. Jumeirah Beach is a white sand beach that stretches about 6 miles from that historic district, an area that some have compared to Beverly Hills.
3. Uxua Casa Hotel & Spa – Porto Seguro, Brazil
The best resort in South America was awarded a score of 99.76. Its location in Trancoso, a district of Porto Seguro, places it a few minutes walk from the beach and close to the Brazilian rainforest. Its luxury amenities include access to a pool, bar and garden while it also features easy access to high-end eateries.
Some of those who come here stay in a treehouse, amongst the more unique accommodations that you can select anywhere.
4. COMO Uma Ubud – Ubud, Indonesia
Bali is well known as a popular vacation destination with many amazing luxury resorts. Many travelers choose to stay at COMO Uma Ubud, which received a score of 99.73. This is especially recommended to those looking to experience a jungle-like environment while its suites are spacious, and it is situated a few minutes from Ubud’s city center.
One of its highlights is its Kemiri restaurant, which provides those dining here with the distinct flavors and local ingredients that Bali is known for.
5. Atlantis, The Palm – Dubai, United Arab Emirates
This ocean-themed resort helped the U.A.E. earn two spots in the top five with a score of 99.72. It is situated on Palm Island, and offers views of Dubai’s city center and access to 32 restaurants.
Those who stay here also get to enjoy free admittance to Aquaventure Waterpark. Access to a pool located on the property is offered as well while some rooms even include a beautiful view of an aquarium.
