Enterprise Holdings will soon enter the Caribbean market by opening several locations in the Bahamas and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
Enterprise will also expand into Morocco. It owns Alamo Rent A Car, Enterprise Rent-A-Car, and National Car Rental.
The business plans to work with local franchisees that already have experience in the new markets.
Many tourism-adjacent companies are expanding their offerings as countries remove the convoluted, pandemic-related entry requirements. People are eager to travel again, and the tourism industry looks like it’s about to boom.
The company’s vice president of global franchising, Peter Smith, stated that Enterprise has engaged in an “aggressive global growth plan” throughout the past decade. The growth lets customers use brands they’re already familiar with — regardless of where they go.
Smith also pointed out that Enterprise franchisees, who have helped the company in its global efforts, value Enterprise’s standard of excellence.
The first locations to open in the U.S. Virgin Islands will be in St. Croix, St. John, and St. Thomas. The St. Thomas rental center will operate out of Cyril E. King Airport.
Infinity Investors, LLC, Enterprise’s franchise partner, already runs multiple businesses throughout the U.S. Virgin Islands. RaceTrack gas stations are some of their more well-known holdings.
Rental centers in the Bahamas will operate in Nassau and the Lynden Pindling International Airport. After that, Enterprise will open a Grand Bahama International Airport location in Freeport.
Automall Dealership Group is the franchise partner in the Bahamas. It also partners with BMW, Hyundai, Suzuki, and Toyota.
Moroccan locations will open in downtown Casablanca and Marrakech.
Excluding Morocco and the Caribbean, Enterprise has rental centers in almost 100 nations and territories.
Enterprise does more than rent out cars, though. With the help of franchisees, it provides carsharing solutions, truck rentals, fleet management, retail automotive sales, travel management, and various other transportation-related services.
