Southwest Airlines has just announced a new nationwide deal on trips until February 2023.
With airfares currently high and expected to rise even further thanks to the upcoming vacation season, you could take advantage of these significant discounts. “Wanna Get Away’ rates start as low as $59, so now would be a good time to plan your trips for early 2023 at a lower price.
Another good news is that Southwest is giving its customers two weeks to book flights at this unusually low price.
The sale will take place from September 13 to October 3, 2022 at 11:59pm CT. To qualify for the offer, you must purchase your ticket at least 21 days before your scheduled departure date. Sale prices are valid for travel within the continental United States/Hawaii and for overseas travel between October 4, 2022 and February 15, 2023.
Of course, there are certain restrictions if you want to book flights at such low prices. “Unless otherwise specified,” the special fare applies only to domestic and international flights on Tuesday and Wednesday in the United States and Hawaii. Only flights to San Juan, Puerto Rico, are discounted Monday through Thursday.
The blackout dates fall primarily during the vacation season: from Nov. 17 to Nov. 29, 2022, for Thanksgiving and from Dec. 16, 2022, to Jan. 2, 2023, during the Christmas and New Year’s rush.
Although sale tickets are considered non-refundable, you can cancel your trip if necessary (as long as it’s done at least 10 minutes before your scheduled departure) and receive credit toward another Southwest flight within one year of the originally booked date.
Of course, if the cost of your rebooked flight is higher than the original, additional fees may apply.
